if 3G signal is good, having no WIFI shouldnt be a problem. Believe M1 will be the first to have it.

No wifi... No idea why also. My 8320 had wifi.

i know the usa model doesnt have wifi, it seems with the usa one they havent made a bb with gps and wifi in the same package with a cdma radio

You will have problem if you go overseas .. Although you can compromise not having if you are using a BBom locally, but it will be too expensive to surf if you go overseas .. so wifi is important (cos some hotel provide FOC wifi usage). That's how I llok at it .. cos I've the same thinking as you initially.
