I got a hard disk from my old CPU and i was hoping to change it into an external hard disk. I bought a IDE hard disk cover for that purpose but i got the error message USB device is not recognised when i connect it to my laptop. I have no idea on how to progress on.
I am using windows vista on Acer Travelmate 3270. The harddisk is from hitachi, model travelstar IC25N040ATM04-0.
