Folks,

I have a few questions about GPS hope you guys can help me on that.

1) There are so many kinds of GPS in the mkt rite now as some cost as cheap as $200+ and some can be $1000+ whats the difference?

2) I dont mind spending on a good one thus can someone recommend me a reliable one?

3) I heard that some GPS response is very slow as in when you reach the point of turn the GPS responded slower or if you are travelling at the speed of 110km/h, the GPS are not able to update you ontime. Is that true?

Thanks

gps system consists of:
1) gps chip/processor at the receiver
2) gps software
3) gps map

a good system has faster processor, and better still if map and/or software upgradable. map upgrade is important.

to TS:
1) marketing... i see some $600-700 GPS actually have least features and map then a $400+ ones.. like DAUF 4.3", what's so good about it? Nothing. Cost $500 over.. while u can get a Holux 4.3"one for as low as $399 or even $350 from those got it free from car dealer. A MTK chipset eastgear is only $439 and u get all the Spore/Msia map (mapking + malsing)

2) u want 3.5" or 4.3"? and u use it often? u use it in spore+msia only or to everywhere??
if often used for car.. get one with MTK chipset as the sirfstarIII is not as accurate, while MTK GPS cost ard the same.
if u use overseas often, get garmin.. lots of free map (but the search function is not as compregensive as mapking)

3)MTK chipset will improve accuracy.. not much.. maybe 10-15% better ..
If u

Sorry to interupt, I need a GPS for delivery, locating the delivery address.
Can a GPS locate it by postal code?

Which brand would you recommend for delivery purposes. 4'3' most preferred!

Thanks.

best price to performance now is eastgear 4320 .. and it has extensive SIngapore postal code search.. let u pin point to the exact building u are going (since spore has unique postcode for each building.. except landed i think?!?)
