Hi there, other than the storage capacity on the 8gb and 16gb set, is there any other differences?
From what i heard from the handphone shop owner, he told me that the 8gb set will be less laggy than the 16gb one so he advised me to get the 8gb one. Can anyone verify this?
thx in advance :)

I got the 8GB one I dun find it laggy, I never used the 16GB one so my comment may not be accurate.
why I wanna get the 8GB one other than price the other reason is the color.
8GB is all black which I feel looks better than 16GB,

logically it is true...
but i have yet to test on a 8 gb omnia.
But based on my experience with other HP (SE 750i), I can feel a bit slower when accessing to games and mp3 on a bigger size memory stick.

the latest firmware J1, the laggy is not that visible.
However, you will notice it if you have an iphone side by side and run a few application.
But bear in mind, iPhone is running an OS developed by themselves, by Samsung is using WM.
My last charge was on Sunday morning 1 am.
till now I still have 50% of batt life.
So fast I manage to get above 72 hours without the need to recharge.
Usage is about 20 to 30 min playing games.
a few short call and sms (about 10)

I have tried both 8GB and 16GB. I personally feel both are the same.
Not fast enough, i can always overclock the processor to higher clock speed, sure faster than your 8GB, at the expense of battery drain.

i think that actually the 624MHz processor is among the fastest for winmo phone
like the fastest is the 806mhz on the T-Omnia
if you want faster go get a laptop or netbook not a ppc!
and actually they are the same
except the 8gb has 8gb of internal memory
and the 16gb has 16gb

i know about omnia processor speed, I'm ok with it after comparing with HTC Diamond.
I was playing with XCPUScaler on Omnia, no lag at all, can even faster than iPhone but suck battery extremely fast. Even after you uninstall & soft-reset, the omnia will still act abit weird weird, only after 20 mins of resting then everything back to normal.
Let me do some testing to find best settings for Omnia when i got more time. Look like maybe another hard reset soon. :s22::s22:

yeah had a diamond and was kinda slowish
even in the TF3D
talking of battery and power
is it true that HH3 firmware have battery problem
it makes the phone battery drains faster??
i had a 8gb before switching to the 16gb(running HH3)
and i realized that no matter how long i charge the battery (to full with green light)
it runs out pretty fast.. :S
i dont have any programs installed and i kept my first omnia battery..

yeah, HH3 got battery drain problem. flash mine to HJ1 since then no issue.
you might want to look around for 'battery hack', alter registry settings to block battery drain. i've done it on mine, now 1 set of full charge can last me 2~3 days on calls, sms, radio, surfing & msn on wifi, take pict of pretty girls... :D

okay thanks alot
but for the firmware i know it has to be in the same region
but my phone says PDA: i900DXHH3/DZHH3
PHONE: i900DXHH3
so what FW do i take DX or DZ?
and will the HH3 cause damage i mean like physical damage to the battery/phone or what-eva if i keep it??
or the only prob. is battery draining out

I am from Singapore so my firmware is PDA:i900DXHJ1/DZHJ1 PHONE: i900DXHJ1
If you are not from Singapore, will be best if you can find out from samsung over your area.

Under starhub online shop, got one Omnia priced at $298, then the other is priced at $498, I guess the $298 is the 8gb and the $498 is the 16gb?
They never sepcify, I see until blur.:look:
And also, can someone tell me whats the differience between Omnia and Pixon?
I like good cameras, but I don't know if Samsung camera are good, at least when I used my friend's samsung digital camera, its a bit of crap.
Cos if the camera isn't very good, I'll just not put Pixon into my options. Any people to advise upon??? Thanks!

Pixton - 8MP
Omnia - 5MP
I think Pixton is more to camera than Omnia but u can't play with Pixton ( download any free software ) but with Omnia, u can explore a lot.
And Pixton had no wifi, features wise I think also lesser than Omnia.
Maybe can go down to Singtel shop & tried up this 2 phones yourself.

haha, is Samsung camera better now?
I just want a camera phone with touch screen, and no LG, so hard to find one.
Oh, there was this time where I took the same picture with my friend, I'm using my cybershot K800i, and my friend is using the samsung digital camera 8MP, I think, wah, the picture is really cmi for the samsung one, my one is even clearer.
yes, I am using a samsung 8MP camera, it really sucks.

How much external memory is allowed on the 8Gb and 16Gb version? I haven't found a definite answer on the web so far but it seems to me that both can take 32Gb external. The additional price for the 16Gb may not be worth it, since 40Gb and 48Gb isn't much of a difference.
Does anybody know for sure?

I have a 16GB Class 6 microSDHC on my Omnia b4. Currently a 16GB Class 6 will cost you $123, brand is Transcend.

my GF uses 8GB & I use 16GB...
Never find any difference at all... maybe cuz both of us never purposely go and max out the memory...
