For those looking for Torch Light software for your phone, you can check out the below link.

H-Torch

Usage:


The program installs itself into "%ProgramFiles%\hTorch" and also creates a shortcut into %StartMenu%\Programs\Accessories. The further usage is as simple as possible. Start hTorch using the shortcut. On program start the LED will automatically be turned on and you will see the programs main screen.
On the main screen you can:

* enable and disable the standard LED mode using the upper left bulb button.
* enable and disable the bright LED mode using the upper right bulb button.
* disable the display using the lower left button (The display can be turned on again using the power button)
* exit the application using the lower right button.
* enable and disable the standard LED mode using the D-Pad Action hardware button.
* enable and disable the bright LED mode using the D-Pad UP hardware button.
* disable the display using the D-Pad DOWN hardware button.


I am using it and it is good as there are 2 brightness level for the LED as torch light.

Just to let those who are interested to prevent the Screen from turning on when there is new incoming SMS, it works and it is great!

Just create a new D_Word entry into the Windows Registry using tools like Resco Registry Explorer or SKTools.

It is good to have this function back as no need to worry that I will press anything on the screen when there is incoming new SMS. =:p

I planning to do a hard reset as there is some problem with my Bluetooth, it will switch off by itself every time I reboot the phone.

Called up SE hotline and they advise me to do a hard reset to see if problem still persist, do yours have this bluetooth problem?

I didnt try using the phone qwerty to use the chinese input as .this chinese input/write software install additional on-screen keyboard for use..

Overall,no ill effect...while you are using back the default keyboard.

You should save it into the phone memory to get it working and you can even install as a separate panel instead of using the default panel.

Just tried out another Input Method..TouchPal..so far this is the best on screen keyboard program, support multi languages, including chinese...It uses touch flow concept(Tap and drag up .down/left/right will carry out action)...very fast input and can change keyboard size, changing

Did you installed the CE-Star and Net Frame Ver 3.5 in your X1?

If you have CE-Star in your X1 then download the CEStarFix.reg file and import it into your X1 using Registry explorer.

If you still have problem then you did not install the Net Frame Ver 3.5.

then @ home change the gmt +8 and singapore and change the timeing and date.


now in your SPB shell go to the settings on the 1st page. where you see internet organiser and tools etc. then click the SPB mobile shell. then go to weather and change to singapore.

For alarm, it only recognizes *.wav file. Save it to My Device > Windows

Hi, i had verify that the downloaded file is in *.CAB format. Eg: XperiaTweak2.CAB

Just copy XperiaTweak2.CAB file to your X1 and install it from your X1.

Use file explorer in your X1 to locate the file and click it to activate the installation.

The rest is just about following instructions.

On mobile shell, click on the weather icon besides the clock. the weather icon is located on the top left of the screen.

On the weather screen, click on the gear-lookalike button near the bottom right of the screen.
In the next screen, click on Select City...
Search for Singapore and click Done at the bottom of the screen. There you go, Singapore weather!

For .cab file, copy it to the X1, any folder is fine. Then from the X1, run file explorer, navigate to where the .cab file is, and click on it. It will start the installation process.

.cab is like the .exe in the XP/Vista world.

But after installation, still cant see chinese words... all chinese text become a square box. Anyone else has the same problem?

For alarm, it only recognizes *.wav file. Save it to My Device > Windows
Same as sms tone, you can save it to Windows folder as well.
i tried transferring a *.WAV file to use as an alarm tone but it said that it doesnt recognise the file. i saved it to My Device > Windows and no luck. Can anyone help??

i installed flashlite 3.1 and soft reset but it caused my opera to crash frequently so ive removed it. i think its bcos my opera's build isnt compatible with it.

I've installed the X1 Tweak 2.0. However, everytime I make changes and try to save, it will prompt me "An unexpected error has occurred in Xperia Tweak.exe".

all these dont require gprs but the gps software itself isnt free. u hv to buy them along with the maps u want.

sorry guys, there is 2 thread for xperia so i also dunno 1 2 post where. im a new HWZ user and using xperia for less den a week. need few advices. pls help


1. on the sound notification, i notice that for New Text Message Received, there is a checkbox "Repeat" under the Play Sound option. but it cannot be ticked. how come? how can i make it possible to repeat the SMS alert? coz sometimes by ringing once i may not notice it.

2. just now after i charged the phone, i notice that everytime my phone goes into sleep mode, whenever i press any button to wake it up, the screen will "blink" once before appearing. meaning when i press a button, the screen comes alive but blackout again for a split second before the screen really stay there. whats wrong?

i installed the growing panel and the activex and some java games. but having a few more questions

3. java games is different from the 4 games that comes with the phone? coz i find it is playable using xperia but doesnt seem to be really compatible like the 4 games that come with it.

4. i installed the touchpal and xperia tweak and both work fine. however for panels, i install windowslive, spbmobileshell, photoslideshow and growing panel. all installed but only photoslideshow can be used for panels. how do i make the windowslive and spbmobileshell panel work? how to choose this 2 as panels?

5. how come i install growing panel and activex plugin but both file cannot be installed. a popup will say need run the application 1st but i cant do anything to it.
