Suggest more reputable brands with better after sale support...

Strongly recommend D-Link DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router, got a lot of supporters in HWZ, there is a thread on it here too...

D-Link DIR655 may be popular and powerful in its QoS. However, the router only exhibit common wlan features. Moreover, it is $$. I would really prefer a router which integrate useful features like ftp, print server, etc.. This could help me save $$ from buying additional hardware for these purposes. Furthermore, ASUS guarantee free upgrade to Full-N router when available.

Though WL-500W got these features, but im unsure abt its durability compared to well knowns like linksys, belkin, dlink, etc... Thus, i nid to find out from others who r using it for reviews abt tis router.

i think my model is WL-500Wp. Have been using it for years. No problem. Its built in OS not bad. With unattended download, etc. But i have change it to OpenWRT.

Please take note, ASUS guarantee has long ended, it applies only for earlier buyers.

Thx 4 informing me abt the upgrade program. I've contacted ASUS service centre and they told me that most probably the router will just need firmware upgrade, so it does not really matter to me anymore.
