Does anyone know of any wireless network adapter that comes with a low profile PCI bracket for use in small form factor casings? Just need 802.11g connection speed.
If yes, please state the brand and model.
Thanks in advance!

For all the Dlink PCI 54g wireless cards i got, every box come with the half height PCI mounting bracket, but you need to remove the default full height bracket and change it to the half height bracket.
DLink wireless cards come with lifetime warranty, fyi.

Thanks once again.
They are for my office's new desktops. Didn't want to pay $120 for any wireless adapters.

Haha... no wonder.
I guess they believed half height is not avaliable in local market.
Thanks for the info.
$120 can get 3 Dlink PCI 54g wireless cards with spare for lunch at SLS foodcourt, $38 each at VP.
Last thing, please install the driver before you physically install the PCI card.

ha. yea. no worries with dlink. i've got mine exchange one to one because mine wasn't walking as per normal after using for about 3years. and now the new one was perfect.
Apologies to dig up this thread.
I need to get a PCI wireless network adapter with low profile bracket too.
Went to SLS to get the D-Link as mentioned above.
However, the D-Link (DWA-510) box itself did not indicate the package content includes a low profile bracket, and retailers also said it don't have... so I dare not buy... :(
Any bros can advice where I can get a PCI wireless network adapter with low profile bracket? Thanks..

DWA-510 confirm comes with half height mounting bracket even though the box didn't mention about it.
If you look at the card, it's a half height design model.

Hi commach,
Could you confirm that your D-Link DWA-510 includes the half height bracket even though the box did not indicate that?
I need a confirmation because I saw the wired version of the D-Link network adapter (DFE-530), and for this wired version, the box did indicate that half height bracket is included. :s11:

So far for all the DWA-510 purchased, the half height mounting bracket comes with the card, the latest was 2 weeks ago, 2 units of DWA-510, both include the half height mounting bracket.
I've brought the D-Link DWA-510 after calling the distributor and confirming that it contains the low profile bracket. Thanks to commach for helping to confirm too.
Anyway, some ranting.. that day when I was at SLS, all the retailers told me the D-Link DWA-510 does not contain any low profile bracket.. this shows how "knowledgable" they are despite their experience in this area.. :s8:
