Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been given a two-match touchline ban and fined £10,000 by the Football Association.

The punishment comes after Ferguson was found guilty of improper conduct following his row with referee Mike Dean.

The argument occurred immediately after the final whistle of United's 4-3 win over Hull City at Old Trafford as Ferguson stormed onto the pitch to confront Dean.

Ferguson was unhappy with the referee's decision to award the visitors a penalty and for failing to produce a yellow card for Hull defender Michael Turner's tackle on Michael Carrick.

Ferguson will miss United's home games against Blackburn in the Carling Cup on 3rd December and Sunderland three days later.

Yeah and let's hope we don't drop points when SAF DOES have to sit out of the dugout when we play Blackburn and Sunderland which is when the ban would be enforced.

its not like there's one who fully respect them.

its not like there's one who fully respect them.

guess so.. every player will think they're right..

even if they know they're really wrong.. they still argue that they didn't do anything wrong.. whether is to influence the refs themselves or the managers told them to..

cause every decision by the ref counts in the top stage..

whereas i play soccer with my frens.. no refs de.. den against strangers.. then if we did win the ball somehow but still caught the players.. but still in a 'no foul way'.. the opposition will argue its a foul.. then we oso nth much we can do.. rather than argue-ing.. we let them have the free kick.. then in our hearts we'll just ' wtf sia.. '

Should allow instant replay seriously too many mistakes being made.

Asakura

in that case, other den blowing the whistle, what can the ref do? anytime there's a foul just instant replay will do. he don haf to make decisions anymore

i think he meant video replays for important decisions...

he can use it for major incident like 2nd yellow card / Staright Red

Offisde or not offside, Off the ball fighting incident.......etc

not use the instant replay for those minor foul / incidents that would really stop the game.

how long will it take ? only a few times in a match there is major incident

the next qns is.
why only for impt decisions? what stand do you take to only use it for impt decision. and what is impt decision?
a small tackle tat leads to a freekick could result in a goal as well. a yellow card for a player can make a difference to how tat player will play for the rest of the game.
e.g. ref awards a penalty to team A due to video replay. but team B will argue that if ref had used video replay on a earlier decision, they could haf gotten a freekick over at team A's territory.
every decision counts in a game. by using only for selective decisions. it will then again be questioned whether refs are favoring some teams.

aiyo important or not quite obvious de ma if you think they are so brainless then let each team captain / manager appeal up to 3 times for instant replay in a match.

I think it should only be applied to critical decisions that the referee may not be sure of, not just any red cards or free kicks that teams subsequently score from. Ultimately, it should be at the referee's discretion, not on players' demand.
