CHELSEA were last night rocked by news of Didier Drogba meeting Inter Milan.
Inter chief Marco Branca is understood to have met the striker at a London restaurant on Monday.
The meeting jolted the Blues as they flew out to Bordeaux for tonight’s crucial Champions League clash.
Inter coach Jose Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes was also present in London with vice-president Branca.
The incident took place at trendy Italian restaurant Lucio — a favourite of Chelsea players and executives.
Reports in Italy claim former Chelsea boss Mourinho is keen to sign Drogba, 30, in the January transfer window.
Mourinho said: don’t know if my agent was there.?
Chelsea manager Phil Scolari has told Michael Mancienne he has no chance of breaking into Chelsea’s first-team this season.
And that means the defender, 21, who was in the last England squad, is likely to spend the season on loan with Championship leaders Wolves.
Scolari said: already have four players who play in this position.?

Moratti in dark over Drogba
Inter chief insists he knows nothing about alleged meeting
Inter president Massimo Moratti insists he is unaware of any meeting between Didier Drogba and club representatives.
The Chelsea striker is alleged to have met Inter's sporting director Marco Branca and coach Jose Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes in a Fulham restaurant on Monday evening.
Moratti claims Inter are not on the look-out for a new striker, though, and even suggested Drogba may be angling for a move to the Italian champions.
"I believe the desire is more the player's than anything else," said the Inter supremo.
Explanation
"I didn't even know (about any meeting) and I will get an explanation of what happened.
"We don't need any strikers."
Mourinho currently has Adriano, Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at his disposal, although the Portuguese coach signed Drogba for Chelsea in 2004.

Mourinho denies Drogba meeting
Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho insists he knows nothing about an alleged meeting between sporting director Marco Branca and Chelsea striker Didier Drogba last night.
Reports in Italy suggest Mourinho's agent, Jorge Mendes, as well as Drogba's, were also present at the dinner discussions in a restaurant in Fulham.
However, Mourinho insists he has no plans to bring his former player to the San Siro.
"I don't know where Branca was, I was at dinner at Cernobbio," he said. "I know absolutely nothing about this story.
"I know on the other hand that Drogba is part of the history of Chelsea and, from afar, it seems to me that he is and will be a Chelsea player."
Drogba was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer but decided to remain with the Blues.
However, he missed over a month of the season with a knee injury and caused controversy in his comeback match when he threw a coin back at Burnley fans in Chelsea's Carling Cup defeat - earning himself a three-match ban in the process
