What's up with these people, keep blocking SNBB's transparent proxy?

When i don't use sn proxy, the site cannot load, but when i allow proxy, the site works.

port: 8080

enter above in your firefox/ie.. mind you surfing can become slower or faster after you apply proxy. For me the default is always no proxy (ie use singnet's default transparent proxy), until when necessary.

I have no problem all along without entering proxy settings. at most is transparent proxy which wasnt set by me..

I think so. That's why when I got allocated bad proxies, imdb rejected my visit.

Try to flush your DNS: cmd > ipconfig /flushdns

Might/not help.

The problem is caused by SNBB assigns a different proxy every time we click different links in a website. Some websites which recording visitors' IP will assign new sessions in every click. I will definitely discard this SNBB when the contract is over.

This prob does not applies just to SingNet alone
It affects ISP with arrays of proxy farms.

I heard it's a must from gov to proxy port 80. So changing ISP is useless.

If you choose no proxy in your IE setting, your traffic will go through ISP transparent proxies with different IP every time. If you set your IE setting to proxy.singnet.com.sg, your IP proxy will be static, and that is why you can access IMDB.

The question is why I never heard Starhub's customers complain about this problem? Is there someone who subscribe to Starhub or M1 can confirm that they have the same problems? If not, then it is more to a wrong setting of proxy farms at SNBB.

No problem on Starhub with imdb, but another site I frequent suddenly has an issue since yesterday. If I add in the starhub proxy its ok. Problem with starhub proxy is I keep getting error. Sucks!~

Yesterday couldn't access imdb, but today can. It's on and off, depending on what proxies I got assigned to. Nowadays, firefox's proxy switcher add-on becomes very handy.
