hm........ Then like that you also need to get a modem as well as a router as your old one is a modem cum router 2 in one...... for router can consider dlink DIR 655, as for modem is your contract going to be over maybe can ask ISP for a new modem when re-contract.......

liangtam, so clever hah. ;)
Francis, yes, that Alcatel is an integrated router.
My contract is over. I am thinking of getting an integrated router, but the way you put it is like that not any is available, or is good enought. Am I right?

You on singnet, maybe can get 2WIRE........... for me I cannot stand the wireless range of the 2WIRE hence hooted a dlink DIR 655........ by bridging the modem, and using DIR 655 as a router.......

I see. I've no idea FYI, I am on Pacnet. With an additional modem taking up an extra space and $, is DIR 655 that good to get a modem for it?

I am on Pacnet. When my contract ends, they continue to bill me as I've not requestion a termination of the contract. I think there is an offer of a special priced modem when I first signed up for Pacnet which I did not take up.
