Not sure if the Linksys Wireless Adapter (G Series) is stable and speedy enough for my daily downloads plus multiplayer gaming as
compared to the PCI based one. I would think PCI based one is more stable?
Anyone can advise?
Thanks

if you're comparing signal level, the USB one does have a slight edge since you can actually place the device where ever you need to get a better signal. an alternative for the PCI adapter would be to purchase higher dB antennae, which isn't really a cheap option fyi..

hmm...so what's the difference in terms of download speed using USB or PCI one?

I got a wirelesds G USB adapter instead of a PCI one reason being, i can move the adapter anywhere i wan with the USB dock. Whereas for the PCI it would always be at the back of my casing.
Signal strength, USB would be better.

In my experience, USB dongles are less stable, especially on older and slower PCs. Disconnection happens when the USB port seems to lose the USB device for a short period of time. PCI was stable and had no issues.
Linksys' Wifi G PCI card is the only one that comes with a big 5dbi antenna and that makes up for the lost of signal strength when the PC is on the floor.
