Just got the Hubstation from Starhub last weekend.
Bought a wireless router from my neighbourhood shop.
Brand is TENDA Model TWL542R+.

I have problem connecting the router to the internet.

This is what is ok:
1. Hubstation internet is working if i use direct connection.
2. Tenda wireless network and lan connection is ok as i've got a wireless printer and all PC/Laptops can connect and print.

This is what is NOT ok:
No internet. When i login to the admin page of the router, it has this easy setup page where they ask me what is my connection to the WAN port. I clicked DHCP and then it just can't connect :(

anyone can guide me? is it the hubstation supposed to be configured or is the configuration of the router is wrong? i saw in some threads that someone says clone mac addresS? what is that?

Please help me... :( not cheap for the router... 58$!!!!
but then again, drive to simlim, parking etc... think have to add another $20 for petrol, parking, erp and what not.... sigh...

thanks!

Power off and on hubstation after connecting to router. All cable modems bind to the last MAC address of the device it was connected to and will release only after power on reset.

krazyman,

so i should connect the router first... then set it to DHCP... (clone mac address as well?)...
then power off hubstation?

Doesn't matter connect first or power up first. However, everytime you connect a different device to the modem, you will need to power off/on it again. There is no need to clone MAC address. But if you do, you'll have to power off/on modem each time.

4 hrs to identify what problem?
