MIO User with Mio voice

Hi guys. Will like to check if MIO user with mio voice can change to other modem with router beside using 2Wire MIO Box? I do not know if my thread is a repeated one.

I did read from somewhere MIO user can use other modem/router with ADSL2/2+. But before posting this thread i do a test on my MIO by unplugging the telephone line out and my house phone (mio voice) has no tone in it.

Just hoping that some 1 can help me in this. Thanks alot.

You need mio box for your mio voice. (Official stand)
There is some reports of users able to connect to mio voice with a different router by using a SIP device and the singtel's sip settings. Not officially supported, do at your own risk.

You won't get any tone because they've disabled the analogue service for your line. I know you can keep it for a fee but I'm not sure if you can reactivate it (such as your case).
