just curious whether anyone still used it since the introduction of Broadband On Mobile a year ago.:)

Yes there are plenty of users who use the wireless@sg.
Just check out your nearest library / macdonalds / starbucks.
Not everybody is willing to fork out $11 a month for wireless broadband.

Think it will remain FREE for a good long time. Only wish that they'll extend the coverage!

then what happen on 1 Jan 2009? End of service or must subscribe and pay fee?

the usual practise for similar free service is to "continue" as if nothing happens like starhub. It was the 1st to introduce free incoming calls and now most of the mobile services comes with free incoming calls.

Green is free cos they're earning revenue from u in other avenues.

Well, u can call up qmax, icell or singtel n ask them if they will extend bah, news quiet silent, dunno y.

The three operators supporting Wireless@SG, iCELL Network Pte Ltd, QMax Communications and Singapore Telecommunications Ltd will extend the free access period till December 2009.
