it was supposed to be a match between first and third...

but in the end barcelona thrashed valencia 4-0...

and when you look at their squad, it's a very very young squad... so many promising players in their subs... +35 GD in 14 matches!!

i think this barca is good enough to win the major prizes this season, including the champions league... i think it'll take a brave team to stop them there... because early signs show that they will dominate domestic and europe this season...

I think they will win the La Liga. But in the champions league, it will be a different kettle of fish. Teams will play tactical and park bus especially at Nou Camp over 2 legs and they will probably struggle. English teams have already shown that.

And reports are saying that Sergio Aguero is going to Barca.

Mamamia.

I'm not too sure about this move. Last season, they signed Henry and the balance of the team was mess up. This season, they have Eto'o, Henry, Iniesta, Bojan, Helb, Messi and a youngster Pedro as choices for their 3 attackers. How would Aguero fit in? Unless Henry is going off next season...

Barca getting owned by Liverpool and Manu the last 2 seasons doesn't mean they will struggle against EPL teams IMO. It think it was because Rijkaard was losing it in those 2 seasons..

They are really flying now.. I'm sure you pit S'land, Fulham, West Ham. Newcastle against them and they would have no problems breaking the bus.

Barcelona are still vulnerable their defence is still typical of a spanish outfit and i feel chelsea, liverpool or man utd would be able to match and win them.

That's provided they don't use 'park the bus in the park' tactic

i'm impressed by Barca's offensive power but i'm even more impressed by their defence this season...
they have conceded very little compared to previous seasons...
Real Madrid, on the other hand, concedes goals like no tomorrow... eg last night's 4-3 defeat by Sevilla

If you read it again, i'm talking about English teams who compete in the CL.

Hope this helps.

Football is unpredicatable. No matter how many stars you have on your side, it all comes down to how well you play that day, convert the chance and luck.

Barcelona are one of the strongest European teams around and few can match it on its day. Whoever draws Barca in the next round had better have a good plan.

I suspect that Eto'o might be leaving.

They rest 9 players out of 11 first team players only pique and hleb was not rested and they already secure top spot in champions league so it is okay.

Barca put out a reserve side, almost all the first 11 are unknown except for Silvinho...

Despite that they still dominated possesion and shot 20 times on goal compared to oppenents 8 shots but still lost. But Kudos to all their youngsters..
