David Beckham Starts loan with AC Milan

Former England captain David Beckham will arrive in Milan on Saturday to be officially unveiled as an AC Milan player.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder is joining on loan from his current club Los Angeles Galaxy and will stay at the San Siro until the end of March.

David Beckham will be presented to fans and media at San Siro on Saturday evening with live television coverage, announced Milan.

The England international arrives on loan from LA Galaxy until March, when the MLS season resumed in America.

Milan released a statement this evening confirming that the executive suite at San Siro will host the presentation ceremony on Saturday December 20 at 18.00 UK time.

The event will be screened live on both Sky Italia television and Milan Channel.

Becks will then salute the Milan fans before Sunday's Serie A match with Udinese.

Although Beckham cannot play competitive matches for the Rossoneri until the January transfer window opens, he will travel with the squad to Dubai on December 29.

However, teammate Gennaro Gattuso admits he doesn't understand the point of such a brief stay in Serie A.

“This Beckham thing seems very strange to me. Perhaps it would've been better and more right if he stayed for the whole season and signed a proper contract.

“To be here for six weeks to two months seems pretty strange…”

i hope in his few weeks here we will get to see at least one amazing free kick at the san siro.

the san siro is one of the world's greatest theatres of football and it would be great to see Beck's trademark.

Its a gamble for Milan if they sign him. Its clear that Milan is targetting the US market. After Beckham's exposure in US, more people are aware of him and maybe gain alot more fan girls.

it's a pity it's only 3 month loan and AC Milan has little chance of winning the title...
hope Milan can sign him and win the title next season, so he will be winning 3 different titles in the 3 major leagues! :D:D:D
