how far away are you from 2wire? did you place it upright or lying flat? did you set to power rating - 6?

I haven't got it installed yet, it will be installed next wk.
But I'm concerned abt the wireless range due to placement near to my storeroom steel door which will affect its range.
So I was wondering how to improve the range if it was placed at a poor RF location.

I doubt there's much you can do.

The antennae are built in, that means you are stuck with one antenna position.

To say the truth I can admit that my 2WIRE modem (or mio box) wireless strength isn't really strong.

The power setting is at the highest, which is 6, and doing several tests showed that even if I placed it in a optimum location the range wouldn't be far, so if you got tons of interference where your modem is placed, good luck.

the highest rating possible is 10.
Its a hidden feature, you need to make a call to singtel, and they will give you a number to call in to increase the power rating.

Yes indeed can set to 10, with a generic keycode but if you place the modem under your table or near your seat, no good for health hor.

I see nothing there that teaches me to unlock the maximum power setting of 10.\\

I just called SingNet, they told me to call the 2WIRE helpdesk (which is closed now).

That's what I faced too.
The number to call for 2wire helpdesk is 6287 5033.
Singtel will not help.
