Fluctuating Signal Strength

I am using linksys WRT54GL Wireless router and I used to have another linksys wifi usb adaptor for my wireless network. But since my adaptor is getting abit haywire I decided to try a new one.

I changed to Belkin usb adaptor, it does connects but the signal strength fluctuates alot. From max to zero even. Using ping -t from dos It get time out or a response from from 2 to 4ms often. Is belkin that unrealiable?

Edit: Ok now i had an even worse problem. I had already uninstall the linksys driver after i installed belkin. On seeing that belkin signal is so inconsistent i decided to use back the linksys one for a little while longer. But now even I the wif adaptor is plug in I got a blue screen. Help!!

No. it ish normal.

sorry but what do u mean it's normal?

Normal for wireless to have from zero to max signal str and vice versa very often ( like every 10 sec )
Or is this case normal for the brand Belkin?

You need to adjust ur positioning
