Unable to access router config page via I.E

Hi experts,

I cant connect to gateway address of my router. In the past, it should pop up an admin box asking for admin and password logon. But now, it gave an 404 page error.

I need it for some port forwarding.

Is there any methods to access via laptop using vista? As my main pc is down. Had try googling, but no available solution are found.

My router is 3com 812 remote. Had also try downloading the driver software but it doesn't work.

404 usually mean you are not authorize to access the router.

Either you forgot the password or you are trying to access a router not belong to you.
If you really forgot the password, reset the router and resetup everything again.

I used to be able to access with my main pc which was using win xp. The router was share between my main pc and the laptop with ethernet cable.

Now that the main pc was down. I will have to use laptop to access the router config for ports forwarding.

It didnt even pop up a login box when i input my gateway in i.e.

Purely 404 page error.

Any idea how to access router config with laptop vista?
