.htaccess-style login for 2WIRE

I am aware that the 2WIRE offers you the option to set a system password, but even when set anyone logged onto the network is able to see the home page of the modem, even though they can't modify the settings.

I would like to know if 2WIRE provides .htaccess-style login. What I mean is, before even seeing the home page of the 2WIRE they have to input the username/password.

An example is the login system for Linksys WRT54G. When you access the router's home page, before even seeing anything you get a prompt to login.

Does 2WIRE provides this by default, or do I have to mod it to get this?
