i also have same problem. i cant download.
I experience it yesterday night from 8.30pm till 12am..
And again today, from 1.30pm until now....
So pissed....call the help line, and they insisted that the network is fine, and suggest that my modem or ethernet card is faulty...crap service
Going to write a complain to IDA about this =_=

DNS n route works hand-in-hand de.
For example, if the route to overseas is down, Starhub DNS cant contact root-server, dns server will not reply an A record, this does not mean the DNS is down. You can try resolving a local domain
And if the DNS is down, you cant resolve the domain and hence cannot surf by means of domain. In this case you can either 1)Use another DNS OR 2)Traceroute an address by means of IP entry to a valid server.

Well, I tried that, but also could not resolve to a local domain, so it was totally down for me...

Yes, I did.
The funny thing is, only cannot surf, but FTP is working as I can connect to my server in US.
And the problem go away after a few hours. I hope it does not come back...happened twice in the last 2 days already.
What totally pissed me off was that Starhub kept insisting that everything was at fault (modem, router, cable, ethercard, etc) but not their network. >_<
