i really need help on setting up 2 coms for lan gaming..
one on wired lan ..
and one on wireless usb..
all sharing the same internet connection.
buffalo router/modem ..
singnet 10 mb..

please helpp!!!:eek:

actually u r already connected together ler. so wired n wireless jus connect to the same router.

ya we are on the same router ordy.. but..
i cant seem to find the other com in games.. like cs or dota.. anythere else. :s11:

try going to command prompt, check the ip address of individual computer both wired and wireless.

go to start > run > cmd > type "ipconfig" (note the ip address)

then test connectivity between 2 computers using ping command
at the command prompt type "ping <ip address of the other computer>"

if you get something like below means connection is there
Reply from <ip address of the other computer>: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=128

-do this for both the wired and wireless computer pinging each other.

i tried ipconfig.. it failed to get a raspond.. please helppp~~ i guess.. the 2 coms are not connected..

what do you mean failed to get a respond ? what is the error message ? post it here .

go to DOS window ( start > run , open "cmd")

C:\>ipconfig /all<ENTER>

Agreed, you censored all the vital information leading to possible solution, why bother to post such highly censored reply?

What is the concern here posting the local IP, subnet mask and gateway?
Million if not hundred of thousands system using indentical local IP, i just don't see what need to be censored.......sigh.

You even censored the ping result, you sure the site or terminal you ping are set to respond to ping or you simply type the wrong syntax?

sorry coz i tot it must be censored.. the rest are as wat showed on my com..
the ping result.. i did not censor.. .. i only censor the IP...

lor.. you just can se in network and sharing folder.. wheter it's already connected...or you can just ping the ip..either the wifi or wired.if got reply so no problem lor...

Are both coms running any software firewall? If yes, it could be blocking incoming/outgoing LAN traffic.
