Just got a DAP-1150. So far the performance from this wireless AP seems to suck really really bad.

I've got the DAP-1150 connected to the DGL-4300 which is located downstairs via ethernet cable and setup as a AP.

When connected to the DAP-1150, normal surfing seems to work fine. Its only until I start downloading something then everything seems to slow down.

E.g. My PS3 is connected to the AP and is downloading the system update which I don't consider to be very fast (downloading the same file on my PC maxes out my SNBB 10Mbps connection). And at the same time I initiate a WLAN-LAN transfer of a 700MB movie file. Initial estimated time was 8 hours for the 700MB file to complete its transfer. The moment I stopped the PS3 download, the WLAN-LAN transfer immediately jumped.

It is pretty much the same for most of the other scenarios all of which will cause the DAP-1550 web UI to load a little slow.

I'm running the latest firmware, DAP-1150 is within line of sight. I've tried tests with both encryption turned on (WPA2) and off, no difference. SSID broadcast is on. WMM is off. The wireless settings are pretty much the same on my DGL-4300 but this DAP-1150 just cannot seem to handle the connection.

Any ideas? D-Link's email tech support is giving me textbook answers.

if u're using the repeat function, then effective bandwidth is down by half.

TS, just to check, is your PS3 using 802.11b or 802.11g?
To play safe, try set your AP to use 802.11g only.

PS: i'm using DAP-1353

I've already tried that unfortunately, I've set it to G only. Played around with encryption still no dice. Sighhh. D-Link doesn't do exchanges for crappy products do they?
