I know there are many threads in this forum and many other forums elsewhere. As far as I understand, this has been going on since November 2008 and there are still as many people experiencing the problem as of now. http://www.google.com/search?q=%22connection+interrupted%22+starhub

Least to say, getting such a Connection Interrupted during the day is not acceptable as it is considered the non peak. And the night is just as bad during peak hour. There were times I could hit my F5 key for 2 hours and the webpage just wouldn't load a single time. This not only happen to oversea sites but as well as local hosted sites.

I do not believe it is our PC, routers, modems, wireless problem since there are so many people all over Singapore experiencing the same problem. So I finally called Starhub last night and log a case with them, to which the duty manager I asked to spoke to, told me they hadn't receive such complaints so far. I'm awed. It's either they do not bother or you guys have not been calling in to let them know of the problems.

They are sending a engineer down to check my place's signal which I hope will yearn some results and have someone in their team to look at the issue. I urge people with this problem to call in to Starhub and log a case with them. Have them to look into this, be it sending a engineer down your house to check signals or whatever. Please ensure that sending a engineer down is FOC, confirm with the person you are speaking to.

We like to get this resolved. We are not going to pay $ monthly to hit the Refresh button, or F5 key every night until we give up and go to sleep.

Please help and call in to Starhub Helpdesk and log a case. Number to dial is 1633, press option 1 then 3 then 1 then 3 then 0 to speak to a agent. I know the line is always busy, I waited 16 minutes just to get through to speak to someone. Please be patience.

you should continue post in existing thread

if u think by getting everyone to call them and a log a case, they will say they have received other people's 'complaint', then you're wrong. they are on the payroll and are told to lie thru their teeth.

Someone needs to create petition online... Anyone can take the lead to create one ?

I did not experience any problem on my MOL during Nov 2008. I was still using my WRT54G. Maybe It's Just Me Again. :s22:

Maybe we should list out combination of the modems and routers used which are facing problem and those not facing problem.

It doesn't make sense that everyone is complaining here, who is there to see from Starhub? Maybe someone from Starhub does read these complaints online but I doubt they will act on it. Instead of complaining here, posting post after post nightly, why not call in to log a case to raise some awareness to Starhub. All it takes is just 5mins of your time minus the long waiting time. They may lie, if you say so, but I like to give them the benefit of doubts.

Because for every call that each one of you put through, they are all logged to their ticketing system to justify the calls pick up. When all tickets are generated monthly for stats, these stats with call logs of problem, I would say, will also determine area of improvement for them. Without stats, without numbers, without justifications, there is no area of improvement to talk about, be it increasing their bandwidths, load balancing, traffic congestion or even the increase of their customers base.

Nobody initiates a online petition and the least to say, online petition... never work? Everyone complains online, nobody read it beside you and I who have the problem. You bring it up to Stomp, I don't know if Starhub even see it there. Write in to newspaper, we all know you get the standard reply and Starhub may just deem a one user's problem.

We can start calling Starhub and log a case or just whine here online in the forums - hitting our F5 key - and nothing get resolved.

great idea, like those of previous thread.

but trust me, the green is not as responsible as u think.
the problem starts about the time krazyman open a thread about the transparent proxy problem. not really by signal or modem

I used to had the same problem. After I change my SSID and choose not to broadcast it, the problem solved. I don't really know what's wrong. Now, my pc would receive weak signal from the router every few days, which force me to change the channel every time it happen. Seem to me, Starhub had major issue with older router like WRT54G.
