Motorola SBV5121 login to 192.168.100.1??

yup.. not a router. but i thought there's some login page for this modem?? it'll show the connection status and IP etc... I think starhub removed it or something..

Did you set your PC's IP address correctly to be in the same range and segment?

hmmm.. i tried connecting directly to the modem. but the default 192.168.100.1 login page doesn't seem to work.. I thought there's some kinda login for the modem just like normal router. or is there? can someone confirm? haha.

its locked by starhub to prevent u from accessing it

if u wan to access it, unplug the coaxial cable from ur modem, reboot it and try

Hey! thanks guys. it works man! well.. actually i'm just curious how come i can't log in initially that's all. LOL okay.. that's really nothing inside, cause once i hook up the coaxial cable it's blocked again. but it's kinda fun still. hahaha:s13:

oh ya.. anyone knows how come SH wanna blocked it? that's nothing much in there actually.. in fact the information might be useful at times to check the connection.. lol

It is the way Cable Modem works, and not blocked by Star***.
If the cable modem is connected to the cable, it will get the IP address that Cable provider given, so you cannot access via 192.168.100.1 address.
If the cable modem is not connected to the cable, it will issue 192.168.100.1 address and you can access the cable modem, in this mode, the cable modem has a option to enable DHCP and act like router but no WAN connection, so many computer can connect to the cable modem.

i appreciate your willingness to contribute but what you say is not entirely true..

starhub used to unblock the access

even thou you are having a public ip from behind the cable modem connected via coaxial to cable network, we cable users used to be able to access in at 192.168.100.1

yea.. I guess our ISP blocked it to prevent us from finding faults on its signal and downtime. HAHAHA

It's more like they want to prevent people from mettling with the configuration and then ask for help after screwing up, thus creating unnecessary work for their CSOs. See people like you who doesn't even know how to access it already wanted to mettle with it.;)

hahaha. There's a reset button. And i'm not those noob who call the CSOs and listen to their bull****. HAHAHA seriously the cso knows nothing.. they blame the router for everything and speculated the modem is faulty. I prefer talking to the technical engineer. lol
