More likely, Megaupload blocked the dynamic ip address that ninja turtle was randomly assigned to by his/her ISP.

Yup. MegaUpload limits the access rather.

If you want it free, you have to pay for the price of waiting. If not, how can they earn money for their premium accounts from those who don't want to wait...?

Has anyone managed to download from there though? A few months back when SH first started having issues (connection interupted etc), I had issues downloading the .torrent file from a certain site I normally go to.

At the same time, megaupload, which has always been very fast for me (200k+), after waiting for the timer to hit zero, the link didn't work. The download didn't start and the page hung there.

The torrent issue was resolved for a few weeks then came back again. However since then Megaupload (free) has not worked for me.

Is anyone on SH still able to download from there? Accessing the site is fine, but can actually download?

Try using a Megaupload premium link generator site, instead.

Before December 08, I can download from Megaupload. Afterwards it stopped working.

No idea why... this problem of mine happends the same time with "Connection Interrupted" problem....

Strange it works for me, although there was this period a few weeks back where I get the connection interrupted problem half the time.

Starhub also blocked me from downloading from megaupload. I tried all sorts of methods and still the same results. Even premium megaupload account cannot help.

wah. sure not. then GG for you. Maybe change provider or try asking hub?
