M1 Vodafone USB Stick on other operators SIM Card

Hi,

I remembered the M1 CSO telling me that the Vodafone USB stick is not operator locked. I got the 2 years one.. However, when I inserted another operator's sim card inside, the VMC Lite software prompted me to insert the correct sim card. I couldn't even do a network search.

Is there anyway to connect to another network on another SIM card without using the VMC software? Anyway, in the first place, the VMC Lite software should allow me to connect to other operators using other sim cards..

If you intend to use SingNet Broadband on Mobile on your Vodafone USB stick, you can flash the appropriate BBoM firmware (available for certain Huawei USB sticks) from http://home.singtel.com/bbmobile/ : click on Devices followed by the + sign.
