it just depends on the seeds/leech factor on the download and also whether u got do port forwarding or not and also whether did u open the TCP Half/open connection limit

Half-open limit does nothing for top speed. Instead, it affects the time for the torrent to reach top speed, which is a totally different parameter.
As an example, I have only 8 half-open connections at any one time, but I still reach 1.1 MB/s downloading Windows 7 build 7022. :D That's 1.1 megabytes, which is the top speed on a Singnet 8 Mb/s (small b = bits) plan.

i also agree....my half open is default @ 8 and depending on the seeds, can reach abt 350kbps, which i think is abt the max for a 3M plan leh

provided you got enough memory.
i am running my BTorrent win server 2003 vmware server 1.
I set the memory to 300mb.

Speed all depends on your peers. People keep getting the wrong idea that changing the half open values will magically increase their speeds.
For the record, I use vista and get my max speed of 1mb without any issues / patching or even tweaking utorrent.

What app u all using? I tried Halite and Arctic for Vista x64 but in the end went back to x32 uTorrent...
