Recently in the past weeks my ping on a particular game has gone up from a good 186 to a unbelievable 312 (250 this week). The same goes for me connecting to an American VOiP server.
I would like to know, are there any fellow Starhub Digital Voice users who's pings have gone up in online gaming?
This is just ridiculous, because my ping goes up at least by 5-15 every week...

I'm sure starhub digital voice does not affect your internet connection. If it does a lot of people will have complained by now. I'm also a Starhub Digital Voice user and my internet speed is no different from before after getting the free digital voice service. Although I have to stay that during peak hours torrent dl speed is rather slow but that is understandable because everyone uses the internet during the peak hours. Other than that internet speed is excellent.

Speed is actually a bit bit slower when the line is in use. about 2-10kb difference. Ping could also go up a bit.

hi can i check if the quality of the calls is ok (compared to singtel)? I also heard a lot of people complaining that got problem calling in/calling out. One last thing, if i have more than 1 phone, how do I connect the rest to the modem?

Whether DV affect your MOL connection depends on the DV device used. Using IAD (motorola or linksys one) will share your MOL bandwidth. Using VeCB will not share your MOL bandwidth (Before someone come lecturing me, of course all traffic will still share the green pipe).

you can make use of your house old singtel line network to link up your other phones. search this forum on how to do it.
i have been using DV for a couple of years now. No major issue except once where my calls got dropped suddenly. But got it resolved eventually by Starhub. Now no problem.

Digital voice is not good can't fax and usually after 10days the line will be dead then u need to call their customer service to do a reset.

i seriously think u nid to call starhub to come down and troubleshoot and solve your problem.
it will be a -ve marketing for them if they do not solve for u and u spread -ve encounter
my 5120V does not have any problems for the past 2 months i installed and the dvg-5402sp still receives fax at malaysia as i have brought it over.

I'm afraid there's a problem with your setup. Not with the service in general.

I've been using Digital Voice for years now and apart from a few downtimes due to maintenance, I do not see any issues at all.
I got no problem using my digital voice to send and receive fax and the lines are quite stable.
If you are facing issues with your digital voice, it is best that you have the starhub technican come down and check out your set up and troubleshoot the situation. Your issue is not the norm.
