View Full Version : Upgrade from MaxOnline Premium Plus to MaxOnline Ultimate

Hello there. I'm new here. Rest assured I've read a lot of threads here but couldn't find some answers.


#1 With maxonline premium plus, my upload speed is 100kb/sec on the average and my download speed is 1.5MB/sec (This is usually from morning until 4pm) But at night, my download speed will drop to 300-400kb/sec. I wonder why that's so. FYI, I'm using direct connection. Another thing, on the website, they put the download speed for premium plus is 12MB but mine is only 1.5MB?

Question: What's your upload speed and download speed on the average for those who subscribed premium plus and ultimate plus? I'm not really particular about the download speed (of coz the higher the better) but more to the upload speed. I intend to upgrade to maxonline ultimate plus. So for the users of maxonline ultimate plus what's your upload and download speed like?

#2 If i were to upgrade to maxonline ultimate plus, what's the ideal modem that I could purchase in order to get the highest upload and download speed? (direct connection)

#3 I'm heading to funan / sim lim square tomorrow to purchase a new PC. I'm not thinking of buying branded pc like acer, vaio, hp, etc. Do you guys know any shops that have a good service and informative sales staff? I want to buy from shops that are good and know their stuff well. (budget is not more than 2500 -- if possible the lower the better) -- i know these questions shouldn't be posted here but i don't want to double post.

Any help is more than welcome and I need it anyway.

1.5 in terms of mb or mB? Put it another way, bits or Bytes?

phuque99 -- I did call them. But most of the time it's so difficult to get through and if even if the call got through, they never answer my questions.

SLS good and reputable shops are Bell, Fulwell and PC Theme. What are you intend to get with your 2.5k?

to liangtam: Why must times 8? Sorry a bit clueless here.

cpuer: Thanks for the suggestions. Must be able to read bluray. 320GB or more worth of space. 17 inch screen. 2.93GHz or better. Very good processor. I do a lot of uploading and graphics too. I think that's about it.

Any suggestions about the modem? Thank you.
