I have a HubStation with a 1Mbs free internet access. According to Starhub FAQ's it is possible to connect a Wireless router to the Hubstation ethernet port and "there are no limits to the number of connections to the free internet access". According to my experience, the Hubstation is not able to deliver more that one IP address at a time using DHCP. When the first address is attributed, no other workstation is able to obtain an address through DHCP. The only way to obtain a new DHCP lease it to restart the Hubstation and the first station requesting an IP address will receive it, preventing any other DHCP lease.
I tried without my wireless hub with a direct connection on the Ethernet port of the Hubstation and I have exactly the same issue, so it is not my wireless hub problem, but the Hubstation problem.
It seems that the Hubstation is not able to distribute more than one IP address and is tracking the MAC address of the station that received the lease.
It is clearly a Starhub Hustation issue, not my router or computer issue.
I saw similar thread but no explanation or solution. Any idea (Starhub helpdesk asked me to call the routers support Company, that asked me to call the Starhub helpdesk... :look: )

Very normal, same behavior with cable modem. I wanna heow keep changing hardware, must shutdown the hubststation/modem a couple of minutes if you keep changing mac address. Otherwise, clone your PC mac address to your wireless router.

I think u have to understand the following concepts here.

1) The Hubstation, just like the cable modem, only issues out one single public IP address for usage.

2) U can connect a router to the Hubstation's Ethernet port and it will will only issue out one single public IP address.

3) The router will share the internet access with its client PCs by issuing them private IP addresses in the form of 192.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x, etc.

4) The public IP address that the Hubstation issues out is tagged to the MAC address of the WAN port that the router shows it. Hence if u wish to change the public IP address, u will have to restart the Hubstation.

Strange.. I have a Dlink DIR300 hooked to my Hubstation HD. I have no issues with my notebook and IPod Touch

TS does not seems to know how to make the connection work.

It does look like TS misunderstood the ISP assigned IP with the local IP of the clients.

It is official... I am an idiot. The Starhub Hubstation is a MODEM not a ROUTER :deg:
I switched back my router to a normal configuration and of course it is runing now.

Sometime thinking too much produces less results.
