Apologies if this is in the wrong subforum, please help to move to the appropriate one if it isn't.

Around July 2008, I recontracted with MOL and upgraded from the free 2133 mini-note to the TX2208 Tablet PC. I recall that as part of the goodies that came with the notebook (e.g. extra battery), 3 years of warranty was also included ... 1st year onsite, 2 years bring-in.

This was on a photocopied piece of paper which I have misplaced, and neither Starhub or HP has any record of this being the case, and my warranty defaulted to 1-year bring-in.

Does anyone who took the same package still have that piece of paper, or can confirm my understanding ? Starhub is also checking for me, but I'd like to see if you guys are able to help.

Thanks in advance !

Thanks, checked with both HP (went there to get an issue solved), and Starhub as well. HP says that Starhub is the one who came up with the promotion, their records did not show a 3-year warranty. Starhub says that the standard warranty is 1 year, but I do recall that it's 3 years.

So I'm hoping that someone who took the same package can help. I'm a pack rat but a bit disorganized, and I can't find that piece of paper anymore.

Edit: Just figured that I can't move the thread, I need a mod's help to do that. I've also posted this in VR-Zone.

I think the offer I took up may not have been there in the first place ... the standard premium was the HP 2133, but around the time of redemption (August ?), they offered the tablet PC for an additional $699, which I felt was more useful for me (and it was, essentially I have a touchscreen PC !).

I'll try digging and see, maybe go through old threads in HWZ and VR-Zone, maybe someone mentioned something there, but documentation is still the most useful.

Quick question for croc or anyone else who can help ...

Do you still have that piece of paper that came with the PC, that was issued by the company distributing the premium ?

Thanks.
