dear friends here,
i'm playing a lot of DOTA everyday. Just subscribed to Singnet for better latency for my hosting of DOTA games.
I believe router does makes some difference to the game hosting or simply gaming. Anyone has a good recommendation? mid range to high range budget for me to consider? i probably will not use the free wireless modem from MIO.
Wireless range not an issue since for best hosting, i use ethernet cable to reduce any lag.
any good advice will be appreciated. cheers!

Any brand any model
That said, it does not matter which brand or model you buy or use, including the 2wire. But rather, what activities u ran off the network. Impt applications NOT to run alongside hosting a server, P2P!(Any forms), Mass dl/uls.

wah... play game nia, use cisco liao.
to ts, erm though router plays a part too, but however if u wan a lag free game, probably, you have to see how you use the bandwidth allocated to your connection. if you put too much load at the router (e.g. p2p, download, etc ) and game together, it might cause lag. also if you over use the amount of bandwidth given to you, there could be a potential lag too.
if not, if you just use it to host game only, and router should be no problem. since you mentioned that you just subscribed to singnet, most probably they will be issuing speedtouch or 2wire to you. this 2 should be good enough.
hope it helps.

thanks for the replies. cos i tot the router's CPU plays a part in distributing the speed of packets in and out of the network.
usually during gaming, no P2P or direct downloading is turned on for me. but occasional surfing from my family here and there. That's why i'm asking for suggestion here. :P
guess like u guys said, 2Wire is good enough. i just want for better(or best) ping times. :P

yup, true though that it plays a part too, since you mentioned that there is not dl, and normal web surfing, i believe it should be fine for you, for better performance routers that you requested, erm im not too good in it to advise you, prolly others can adivse on it.
