View Full Version : Please help on how to setting up a network for 3laptop

i have 3 hp laptop running vista home premium
1 netgear router

could i just plug in LAN cable into router to set up as a small network for file and printer sharing? what config need to be done in each pc?

as for internet, i will have each pc to connect to internet individually using M1 USB Dongle.

Please advise the configuration need to be done and other approach that may be better.

No issues with such a connection.

Just play around with the settings in Network Settings in Vista. There are check boxes like make my computer visible, I want to share files etc.

Your approach is fine.
