helped me fren build a rig recently from PC Themes.. Specs as follows:

Asus P5SD2-VM
Intel E7300
2x1GB DDR2 667 Kingston
Palit 9500GT 256MB
WD 320GB HDD
LG 22x DVDRW

Windows Vista Home Premium

Router is Prolink WGR1004
http://www.fida.com/products/wgr1004.htm

USB adapter is Asus WL-167g
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=12&l2=42&l3=136&model=57&modelmenu=1

ok, everything is set up properly with drivers updated for vista n stuff.. but no matter how i try, it can never connect to my fren's existing wireless network. he has another PC oso running on vista, i use the adapter on dat PC, it works n connects successfully.. so it's not the adapter's fault i guess.. i even tried with another adapter, it still fails but work on the other PC..

i even tried restarting the modem(starhub) n router, reset the router, but it still wun work.. all this while, the other PC can connect with no problem..

really running out of ideas.. switched off firewall oso can't.. wad the heck is wrong man.. been so frustrating..

Which wireless service are you using?
Vista WLan service or the Asus wireless service?

Tried using only one to connect, if you are using the Asus wireless service, disable it and use =Vista WLan service.

the asus one dun come with the software, cos i only DL the vista driver for the USB adapter..

then i guess i'm only using the Vista WLan service ba..
