i recently just bought an ipod touch, so i configured the wi-fi setting according to my comp's setting. I'm a singnet bb user. So the proxy was filter.singnet.com.sg 8080, but it seems that my ipod cannot connect. So are there any other proxys to use? I really don't know how to solve this prob
:(

You should not need to specify a proxy in your ipod touch.
In fact you don't need to do that for your computer either.

what has a proxy got to do with detecting your wifi ?
You sud detect your wifi name and try connecting via settings--wifi- choose a network--just touch your wifi name.
Ensure that your wifi is turn on. Key in your encryption code if you have one and you sud be able surf.
