Soon I will be changing service provider to SingTel for my home network. As such, they will be providing me a modem cum router that has 4 ports. As far as I want to make use of one router only, I think based on my home layout it is not possible.

As this is my first time going to work with 2 routers, are there anything I need to take note of? Configurations? Is the above network layout the best I can layout?

1 modem router for internet connection and a switch will do liao ma, unless you using 2nd router to limit internet access.

This is logical diagram right???

Ur indivdual rooms have cables already laid? Or they are simply laptops?? If laptops might as well use wireless...

If your objective is simply jus to use exisiting bought equipment, then this is good enough...

Great I have made the switch from MaxOnline to SNBB. Now that I am on SNBB, I've got no idea how come StarHub will still have customers. :D
