Or at least from our tests, using ST high speed BB is much faster than SH 'Fat Green Pipe'
No matter what speed SH is running at, the download speed does not increase proportionally to the price plan speed increase. Even after an upgrade, download speeds would only go from as low as 100k+ for a low end plan to 200 or a few hundred Kbs at most for the mid to higher plans. the download speed boost is only 50-100% even if the price plan speed boost could be tenfold
BUT ST high speed BB will perform close to the respective price plan offer, a 1mb plan has a 100kb+ download speed vs a 10mb plan with a truly 1+mbs download speed, so a price plan jump of tenfold will literally be matched by a similar download speed jump!
tried with various systems, various locations, various times and various sites le
but strangely each time tho general bandwidth tests seem to show both ST and SH to be very close to their actual price plans, but we now know reality is indeed different
This could mean high end Starfub subscribers lose out in terms of value but is there any over or blind sight here? mind we are not talking about BT
