View Full Version : Network is connected but internet explorer cannot use

Hi guys,

here's my problem. i m using win XP, my network properties shows that i m connected, and i can open my IE no problem at all, there is no "webpage cannot be displayed" error. jus that the page load damn long. almost neverending. all this happen aft i download some win update, but i dunno which update it is =(

there is nth wrong wif my modem or cable, cos i tried them on my laptop n it work perfectly! wireless or wired, the connection is gd, jus that something wrong wif my IE.

can some kind soul save me plz...

check if you have set any proxy in the IE?

computer got ip address?

can go command prompt to check?
start > run > cmd > type "ipconfig"

if can paste the results here

Uninstall it

You can either uninstall the update or do a system rollback to a previous date. Make sure ur browser isn't hijack by malware or ur system was already compromised. That also can make ur browser unresponsive.

Hey ppl,

many thanks for the replies! my ip config shows that the connectons are all working well, so most probably must be the windows update issue. damn microsoft updates r always so risky! anyway i tried unstalling the latest update n i will c how things go from here.

i did the uninstallation, same issue. doesnt work. damn i think that marks the end of my PC. really very frustrating this is my assignment submission period =(

For a start, you should at least state what modem and router you're using, and show us your IPCONFIG /ALL result here.

did u try restart ur router? or use FF or other web browsers?
