Using my new 2wire 2701 HGV-E for an hour now(wired). Can't give much review yet. So far so good...
Gonna try the wireless now.

BT is fine as long as it is wired. i can get a constant of 8000kbps and 3000kbps when i was on 3mbps plan. however, i get frequent d/c when running on wireless.
hope that helps :)

erm no problems so far, never tried bt on wireless though, warranty, if not wrong is based on contract plan, or 1 year, have to check with singtel.

Two issues i notice:
1. it will take at least 2 secs to lookup a domain before resolve to the site.. eg. yahoo.com
2. navigating around the 2wire control panel is so slow... taking like > 10-15 sec to load to another page.
Is this happening to other 2wire users?

erm, ok bah, still bareable, you may wanna change your DNS settings not to point to 2wire

took me about 4-5 secs max only.

domain shouldnt take that long to resolve.
you are probably talking about your browser where it handle domain resolve slowly instead.

My sister's 2WIRE modem can't work after 1yr+, so call Singnet and they tell her the tech will come to her place and fix free of charge. Turn out its just the power supply faulty. :s13:

Nope, nothing is based on contract date for your warranty, else if u use a modem over and over again with Singnet(assuming u sign up for 10years) wouldn't they be losing $? Is like your mobile - you signed 2 years you only have got a year of warranty. Its general knowledge.
latest model of 2WIRE comes with 2years of warranty.
Adapter fails pretty quickly.
Wireless range not as promising.

if your 2WIRE modem belongs to the following category its a year:
2700HG / 2700HG-D
if you 2WIRE MIO modem belongs to this following category is 2 years:
2700HGV-2 / 2701HGV-E
so which 2700 are you referring to?
mine is 2700HGV-2
and want to check warranty status
