hey pill, my fiancee is crazy about the country theme. Personally, not that into it, but whatever makes her happy lah :)

She tells me that there are different styles with that theme, and she likes what's called "shabby chic". I suppose it's a bit more modern and less Victorian. Looking at Kale's closet, i think that's sort of the style she's talking about.

Their website isn't ready, but they have a showroom @ Lavender. All their furniture is very country-ish, but is made in Indonesia. Craftsmanship is solid, and surprisingly not all that expensive when you compare them to IKEA. You should go check them out!

Try to aviod buying from country style furnishing. Recently I bought some furniture from them and I really regretted it coz the workmanship is really BAD! The painting is uneven & crack lines are obvious. I find it so ugly. but they tell me their quality is like that & they can't do anything...WTF? and is not like they are super cheap.
