how come today my starhub like crawling ?

my hse electric when out after a lighting struck.
then i restart comp.

i play game lag like ****. cs/warcraft/l4d
i surf net sometimes load slow or load fail.

then i try ping www.singnet.com www.starhub.com www.google.com
singnet google seems ok
but starhub request time out.


i tried restarting pc. restart router and the scv modem.
all no use.
btw i tried wireless and wired connection.

ping when playing cs is suddenly from 20 jump to 200 then jump up down.
very weird.

use traceroute instead of ping. Call 1633 and complain.

They haven't fix their underground cable issues, that what I can say.

U mentioned lightning struck n short-circuited your house, it could hve fried your modem causing it to behave oddly.

i just downgrade from MOL 100Mbps to SNB 8Mbps (should say upgrade ba lol)

when i using MOL 100Mbps, my torrent never go over 200+kb/s even download from http will never see above 2MB/s... this issue happen after starhub did some upgrade...

and now i using SNB 8Mps, my torrent go up to 1000+kb/s, Internet serving with no lag....

i think for internet speed u should use singnet.... starhub really very slow when peak hr... is worst then using dial-up (like between 7pm-11pm)
