View Full Version : Wireless N only 1.0Mbps

im using a belkin N1 router and linksys WMP300N wireless card for my PC the signal str is 89% but the speed is only 1.0Mbps i dunno how got it to work on 54.0Mbps before but now its stuck at 1.0mbps again.. anyone knows what could be the problem? my pc is 1 wall between the router, ISP speed is 12 and i have a max of 3 coms running tgt but it doesnt have any effect on the speed tho pls HELP :)

Its probably your range.. router is too far.. Some N router signal drop like a rock after certain range.. some are bit more gradual..

Another thing is instead of setting mixed mode, set to a standard mode like N only.. it should raise the speed..

cause my pc is using wireless N adapter but the other PCs are using G so i cant change it to N right? probly range cos theres a thick wall in between.. my speed is stagnant at 1.0 not really dropping, i did get it to work at 54.0 before but i dunno how and it lasted a while only.. lol

Try setting the band then.. instead of auto, set it to one that is less used or unused and works well for you.. Since you are on mixed mode, I believe you only can select the standard bands 1 - 13.

just tried that but its the same.. i did some checking and found out that a few other users are having problems with the wireless card cause it connects on G instead of N and it cannot run on wireless N.. gonna call up linksys tmr.. hope that resolves the problem hahaa
