Queries regarding starhub cable modem

I bought a second hand sb5121 modem online. But when I request starhub to activate the modem, they told me that the mac address of the sb5121 is not in their inventory list and could not be activate. Any maxonline users encounter this problem?

you must have quoted the wrong mac id OR due to miscommunication error. HEX consists ABCDEF.

I have screen shot and email the whole sticker under the modem to their CSO.

Just notice that the modem is SB5121e instead of the normal SB5121i, Anyone using this modem?

I think thats not a locally acquired modem. Did you check with the seller? may not work with StarHub's firmware.

yah the modem is not registered locally. i heard need to dont know what authority to register an overseas modem before it can be changed by starhub. call n ask again lo. ah bo buy another one?

u cant use it here then, buy another one to save u hassle
