For the past 3 months since i install this new router and using the USB adapter. I have been experiencing frequent disconnection. Every night averaging 2-3 times. After each DC, i check the router with my SH modem, they are still blinking meaning the internet is on.

So most of the time when im surfing net halfway and it dc, i would plug out my USB wireless adapter and replug into my USB port. And my internet would be reconnected again.

I would like to ask is it something wrong with my USB adapter? Or is it that is one of the flawed features of having a USB adapter? such that it makes my surfing net dc frequently?

Or is a PCI based adapter a better choice than USB adapter?

Thanks in advance for any input from u guys

Heavy usage time will DC? When it happens does it appear like your WUSB54GC has also been removed from your system?

I've seen this happening on older systems, where the USB port of the computer is lousy. Issue was resolved by using PCI.

hmm wat u mean by this?
If u mean icon on the taskbar then yes. I don even have a taskbar icon to reconnect, so have to resort to manually plug out the USB adapter to reconnect my internet

Hmm it might be the case also...but my mp3 player or other usb devices sometimes still can be detected also...Is there any program to check the functionability of the USB port? :s13:
