its not that hard to do wiring yourself unless u don't want to dirty your hands or u need to drill holes thru walls. Pretty fun doing it...choose cable...choose materials...etc

Wiring to the DP box outside your hose is no different from wiring outside.
It's not technically challenging. You just need the materials and the tools.

It might not be challenging to those who knows how to do it exactly. However, I am thinking of paying a qualified person to do it for me. I don't want to take any risks of disrupting my neighbour's phonelines. do you have any lobangs with rates cheaper than singtel?

Only Singtel will know which pair of "heads" in the distribution point belongs to your house.
What I did was just observed how the Singtel tech wired up an extention line to the pair. It's just stripping away insulation for a pair of copper wire and looping them around the metal heads. Subsequently I changed the line on my own.
I asked a shop to prepare a wire with one exposed end and one terminating with a RJ 45 / RJ 11 jack.
It's Singtel's property so they're best qualified for this. Hiring anyone else is as good as getting a knowledgable friend.
