A bit confused at the moment, hopefully someone can clarify this for me =:p
If I were to sign up for the SH maxmobile plan, can I use the service through a HSPA enabled phone rather than using the USB stick or PCMIA card? Or do I need to subscribe to an additional mobile data plan for my phone?
Cheers

yes and no.
if your handphone support hsudpa, you can just insert the sim card into the phone to surf the net. but as you might notice, there's only one slot in your phone (most models), so if you are using the maxmobile sim card, you have to temporary forgo your mobile line.
to solve this problem, you can sign up maxmobile as an value added service to your mobile line, so you can do both things on one sim card. but it comes with another problem: if you want to surf the net with your laptop, you will have to take out the sim card from your phone to insert into the laptop or usb stick, which makes you unable to receive and make phone calls again. you can use your phone as a modem, but dunno if it sucks up alot of battery.

As in? Sorry don't quite get it.
That means I have have to subscribe to both maxmobile datapack and the mobile phone VAS?

1) Sign maxmobile as a standalone (data) SIM[not available for all maxmobile plan]
2) Tie maxmobile as VAS to your existing sh mobile voice plan
Complimentary maxmobile from MOL plus only can be standalone.

Hmmzzz in that case, I think i will upgrade to a MOL plus plan (I'm on MOL express now) for my home and laptop use + get a Maxmobile Value plan for my phone since I just need to sync PIM data and check wap pages on the phone. Makes sense?
