Does anyone encountered DC and lag during morning and night? It happens to DC whenever i walk close to the modem or walk to the window (am I blocking the line of sight of the signal?) sometime it get worse, the moment I connect to the network I got DC immediatly again and again. Also, when i left my connection idle for awhile and want to use back, but cannot. The status shows HSUPA, and it need super long time inorder to change back to HSPA to resume the network.

I'hv called starhub and feedback on this issue, but none of them actually help. Accodring to starhub, my E170 stick maybe faulty, but i tried used my brother working E170 stick i still got the same problem. I'hv upgrade the firmware for my E170, but it doesnt help too.

Anyone could advice me on this?

Oh yes, i tried it with another notebook, but the result is the same.
But can you explain, whenever i go near the modem the signal will drop or even DC. Is it because i'm too sensitive to the device?:look::s13: Or am I interfering the signal for not having line of sight, whichever it is I dont think it is acceptable.

I believe the 3G coverage at my area isn't that strong, plus whenever it reach peak hours the signal strength is obvious to be weak. Modem status changed from WCDMA to HSPA to HSUPA than DC.

In fact I did called starhub, they told me they will boost the signal up in my area. Well that was helpful but the good signal only last for 2weeks+, after that my internet connection back to usual. DC and lag, can't even check/send email in the morning and MSN at night.

So anyone happen to have this exprience before? This problem already persist for 3mths and still not solved. Need your kind advice.

Hmm.... Is there any diff to plug into desktop or notebook? BTW, I tried on 2 other notebooks but the result wasn't very ideal too. Maybe I should ask my friend to use it for a week to test the result. Hopefully he doesn't get DC that often than I can prove I am right that the signal in my area is weak. LOL.

Thanks for your help. :)

I am using wired connection I get dc from starhub quite often sometimes....
but most of the time no problem, 1week perhaps 1day or 2day (the most) keep dc for few hours, every few mins will dc... but will be fine after few hours... dunno what happened also, called starhub, even request their technical support down, but when they come here everything work fine, so i think some internal starhub problem here and there all the time
