Hello all,

I just bought a HP Pavilion dv6-1009tx from ITShow 09. I'm using this notebook for tertiary education and some gaming too. I was wondering if the notebook's dedicated GPU is able to handle games such as Left4Dead, Red Alert 3 (on med quality). I won't be expecting to play high-end games like Crysis, Empire Total War.

"I was wondering if the notebook's dedicated GPU is able to handle games..."

Shouldn't you be asking this before you bought it?

CS engine or Source engine?

There's a difference between CS and Source.

Isn't the 9200M GS an integrated card?

You can play the following games but all at very low settings and at a very low resolution. It won't get you far. And yes like the others have mentioned, you should've researched this before buying. Don't be an impulse buyer. ;)

@ cathy: Good question. I will have that checked out. But I doubt so.

Only the 9100M G and 9400M G are in the GeForce 9M series.

i doubt u will get good or even average performance with 9200m GS.. even if it manages to display the gfx correctly without errors.
